Map of Lake Missoula?
[edit]The map of Montana given in this article depicts the physical landscape of the State, but specifically excludes a cartographical description of Lake Missoula itself. Might not this glaring omission be rectified? Nuttyskin (talk) 01:38, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Not a sentence
[edit]This is not a sentence. Please fix and clarify as well. "No evidence of large mammals, i.e.; mammoths, mastodons and bison may have roamed nearby, there is no evidence that these animals nor of human beings in the area." 2601:600:877F:7D0:182:96C8:BDEA:FAB6 (talk) 19:28, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. I made an attempt to rewrite the grabled text. Also, a funny feeling and vauge memories of a recent paper that I once read tells me to fact check the sentence about lack of associated large mammal fossils by looking at the paper again. Paul H. (talk) 00:06, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
- Additional note: False alarm. The Mammoth site that I was thinking is associated with the slackwater lake deposits of Glacial Lake Lewis instead of Glacial lake Missoula. Thus, no corrections are needed. For additional details, search for the Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site in Benton County, Washington. An example:
